Vegan Yentafo @ Yaowarat (Chinatown, Thailand) : Rice noodles in Red broth

Soooo good to be eating nooodle souppp :3 In Thailand the serving sizes are tiny around half maybe even a third of what you get if you buy a meal in Australia so I ended up eating two bowls.

Thai Sweet: Khanom Tarn (ขนมตาล) Toddy Palm Cupcakes

I was surprised that this was vegan and didn’t contain any eggs! The yellow colour comes from palm fruit :)

Thai Street Food/Snack: Khanom Krok (ขนมครก) - Thai coconut rice pancakes
“Kratong taung” Vegan Golden Boat @ Nop Parat, Suphanburi
The restaurant had some vegan options for us and this was one of the specials on the menu. It’s basically a deep fried taro nest with a sweet topping of taro, water chestnuts, baby corn, dried chilli and chinese jujube.
Tom Yum (Spicy and sour soup) @ Bai Ngern, Suphanburi
According to my aunts Vietnamese food is becoming a hit in Thailand so the restaurant we went to had a vietnamese menu - lucky for me the vietnamese fresh rolls could be veganised.
Vietnamese Fresh Rice Paper Rolls with fresh salad @ local restaurant in Suphanburi (Bai Ngern)
Raad Na (Gravy Mixed Vegetables Noodles) @ Local Restaurant in Suphanburi - Bai ngern
Felt so gooodd to eat noooodles I missed eating noodles
Rambutan :)

Most people in Thailand don’t cook their own food but buy it from restaurants and markets as it’s less time consuming and cheap. Luckily in the place I’m staying at (Suphanburi) there is a vegan restaurant my aunt frequently buy our meals from. Here’s one of my favourite:

A Thai twist on the Vietnamese Fresh Rolls: Rice noodle parcels filled with soy protein and salad (lettuce + cucumber + basil) served with a chilli pineapple sauce and loads of basil

Fresh young coconut juice!! This wasss heaven!!!! It was naturallly sweet and refreshing!

This was the first meal I had when I landed in Thailand @ MK Restaurant (A Thai ‘Suki’ hotpot chain) in a Tesco Lotus chain somewhere in Bangkok - Thankgoodness for the vegan option!

Vegan Suki hotpot bowl: glass noodles + silk tofu + baby corn + glass noodles + chinese cabbage + asian greens

Served with Red Fermented Soybean based Sauce + Vegetable Jade Noodles topped with garlic
